Travel Theme: Light

This week, Ailsa over at Where’s My Backpack challenges us to share photos of light. So many possibilities. We could go literal, with photos of actual lights, or use sunlight or moonlight – shadows, even! Maybe something that makes you feel uplifted, or light.

My contributions vary among a couple of those categories. I hope you enjoy them, and head over to Ailsa’s page to find out how to play along!

Early morning light framing the Jefferson Memorial and the Tidal Basin. Even a tiny sliver of moon shows as a point of light.

Moonlight reflected off of the water of Quincy Harbor, Houghs Neck, Mass.

Late afternoon sunlight reflected off the tips of the flower petals at Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Plain, Mass.

A more literal take on the theme: Nauset Light, on Cape Cod, Mass.

  1. It’s hard to decide, as usual you wind up giving me great choices! I think the Boston Skyline one. I am totally enthralled by the way light (and shapes) hit the water. Nice work, baby!
