Unfortunately, I read Beyond Paisley’s post on this theme before starting on mine, and now I’m jealous that she thought to include Otis Redding’s Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay, because that song epitomizes the theme. I lost a competition I hadn’t even entered yet! 🙂
OK, down to business. This week, Ailsa over at Where’s my Backpack has challenged her fellow bloggers to post photos that show the theme “peaceful.” Since the weather outside today is anything but peaceful, I dug through the archives (and just doing that provides some measure of peace). These are the images I think fit the theme this week.
There were a lot of people wandering around the Tidal Basin during the Cherry Blossom Festival, but the atmosphere was peaceful, nonetheless.
Time to have a nap under a tree.
Waiting … waiting for the sun to come up and take the fog up with it, on Walden Pond.
Schweet! Thanks for the shoutout! Glad to know you’re with me on the Otis thing. That song is amazing.
Gorgeous photos, bloggy friend.
Otis: all day, every day.
Hubby would not be happy if he knew his bald spot was now in cyberspace for everyone to admire. Yet another thing to smile about on a Friday afternoon!
Not a bald spot. A cookie. That makes it even more adorable. 😉
Mmmm. Cookie.
My boss calls his a “skin yarmulke”.
The pink photograph is just stunning!
Thank you! It was even more beautiful in person.
I can only imagine!
VEry beautiful, peaceful images!
Thank you!
Stunning pictures… 🙂
Thank you! Glad you popped by.
Great photos for this theme! I love the cherry blossoms.
Thanks! The blossoms were really something to see in person.
Oh…I want to have my breakfast under that orangey-hot-mess of a tree! ;oD
It’s a really great tree.
