This week’s Travel Theme gives me the perfect opportunity to use more photos I shot last week at Boston’s Outside the Box festival, featuring Australia’s Strange Fruit, a group of performers perched on 16-foot-tall flexible poles. Their performance is an interesting mix of dance, circus and theater, and if you get the chance to see them, I highly recommend it.
If you have photos that show “tilted,” head over to Where’s My Backpack for instructions.
What says summer more than kids playing in a fountain?
If you want to join in the fun, go visit Cee’s page for all the information. You can also see how other bloggers interpret the theme!
This week’s theme over at A Word in Your Ear is “unexpected.” Too bad I didn’t read Sue’s blog before I posted this, because it definitely fit the theme. I’m not sure whether the photo I chose fits better under the category, “unexpected,” or “smart-azz.”
Funny, either way.
The model arched her back as she struck a pose for the camera, milking the last of the day’s light …
OK, sorry. I lost my head there for a minute. As did the model. Seeing as how it’s a man. Me: “I’m going to take a picture of that man sitting over there, with the sun behind him.” Walk over, focus camera. “Wait, I thought that was a man. Maybe there were two people, and I didn’t see the woman before.” Shoots two or three frames. Looks again. The man turns to face a different direction.
