Vintage Baseball

Hubby and I went to Georges Island outside Boston Saturday, and spent an enjoyable few hours wandering the grounds of Fort Warren, and watching some vintage baseball. Teams from Massachusetts and Maine competed in games using the same rules (and equipment) used during the Civil War.

    • Oh, my gosh, it was so much fun! No gloves, no catcher’s gear, and if you catch a ball after one bounce, the batter’s out. If a ball went foul, the runner had to get back to his original base, or get called out. I really liked the “vintage” Nikes, too. 😉
