Where is the Time Going?

I know it’s still fall, but it sure feels like winter around here. Of course, by “around here,” I mean in my office, where the frigid temperatures have us all wearing coats. I brought in a blanket for my legs, and am now contemplating going to the store to look for fuzzy slippers. Subconsciously, I tell myself I don’t want to go outside into the rainy afternoon. “It’s too cold!” But seriously, it’s probably warmer out there (albeit wetter).

I fear we’re getting to the time of year when photo shoots are going to be sparse. On top of that, my daughter’s visiting for the next month, which is AWESOME! but also changes our schedule around – more shopping, less photography.

To add insult to injury, I’m in the second week of an online master’s program, so it feels like every waking second is consumed by reading boring tomes, trying to figure out what the heck APA formatting is and why I should bother, and writing. Lots of writing.

So consider this my pre-apology if things get sparse around here. I’ll check in as time allows, and I’m confident it will allow more and more as I get my feet under me and figure out the whole self-scheduling thing. Feel free to check in from time to time to hold me accountable for my school deadlines. πŸ™‚

In the meantime, here’s a fuzzy caterpillar to make us all feel better about Thursday.

  1. Good luck with everything going on and keeping you busy! I don’t know about your fuzzy caterpillars but the ones we have here in San Diego are poisonous. If you touch them even one bit, your fingers burn for hours and you get a nice red rash. Fuzzy = stay away!

    • Thank you! I really need to get better about adding school stuff to my calendar, so deadlines don’t sneak up on me! That’s interesting – poisonous caterpillars. I may have to look into that further. Luckily, I never touch them, but it would be nice to know whether I need to be more careful around them!

  2. Wow. You are permitted to let things get sparse…just check in once in a while! Good luck on your learnin’s. ;oP I would say have fun, but sometimes classroom structure is tedious and takes a bit out of the learning process!

    • Week 3, and I already feel like I need to sleep for two days straight to catch up. Part of this, of course, is the young adult who insists on being entertained (thus keeping me up late at night), but the rest? Boring reading. So boring. Naturally the first class they want us to take is theory, because it separates the men from the boys. By being soooo boring! πŸ™‚ At this point, we seem to have very little classroom structure. There are modules, and deadlines, but no class meetings, no specific time we’re all supposed to be online and chatting, so that helps.
