Weekly Photo Challenge: Signs

Our challenge this week is to post photos of signs. One of my favorites. I love shooting signs, as you can see by looking at Sign of the Times category on my blog https://ididitforjohnny.wordpress.com/category/sign-of-the-times/. My interpretation of what they mean might not be what the creators envisioned. The photo above, for instance, requires me to add: “Because they bite.”

Bee Mine

Today, we drove all over creation looking for colorful leaves, and what we found pretty much bears out conventional wisdom – drought conditions this summer mean fewer leaves turning colors, and wild rain this week (several inches the past couple days) caused leaves to fall off. We saw a lot of green, a lot of brown, a little yellow, and a very little red. I took exactly three pictures of a single leaf (though the pics were of a tableau, with a leaf included), and Hubby’s numbers were about the same. We started in Quincy, Mass., at 7:30 a.m., drove through north central Mass., to New Hampshire and then Vermont, then back south to Western Mass. We stopped in Shelburne, Mass., at the Bridge of Flowers. This was my favorite image from the day, taken on the Bridge of Flowers.
