What are they wearing? Tidal Basin Edition

Walking around the Tidal Basin and National Mall in Washington DC on a pleasant spring day, you’ll see a wide variety of fashions, and last weekend was no exception. Here are a few of my favorites.

I wish I’d been able to get this group together. Two pink strollers with identically dressed twins inside. One pushed by this woman with the lovely red hat, and the other by a woman with a red and pink ensemble. Someday, I’ll be brave enough to stop people and ask them to pose for pictures. For now, though, just this.

Another twin – his brother refused to get out of the stroller. This was a family out on the Tidal Basin with a photographer attempting to take family photos. It didn’t seem like she was having the easiest time of it, since this one refused to look her direction, and the other one wouldn’t get out of the stroller. Loving the look, though, and it was even better in duplicate.

This one was my favorite. A couple, both dressed in suits and white tennis shoes, holding hands and enjoying the early morning sun and the cherry blossoms. I want to be them when I grow up.

What are they wearing? National Zoo Edition

Hubby and I took a long weekend in DC to see some cherry blossoms. I’m glad we stayed until Monday, or we wouldn’t have seen very many of them! But, in our travels, we spent several hours at the National Zoo, and I couldn’t help but admire many of the clothes I saw there. Here are a few of my favorites.

If you’re not mixing patterns, you’re not doing it right.

I wish I’d gotten a better picture of this hair. It was awesome. A braid and curl mohawk.

What are you wearing the next time you go to the zoo? Are you a fashion plate, or a blend-in-with-the-crowd sort?
