Riding the Rails

We took a quick trip to New York City this weekend, riding the train from Union Station in New Haven, CT, to Grand Central Station. The train ride, in pictures.

Oddly, the ride back looked nearly the same …

Weekly Photo Challenge: The Golden Hour

It’s been overcast here the past few days, so the assignment: go out and take pictures during The Golden Hour, has resulted in some lovely photos, but none that show off the fine light which the challenge is looking for. So, I went back in the archives to a spring visit to the Tidal Basin in Washington DC, during the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Travel Theme: Light

This week, Ailsa over at Where’s My Backpack challenges us to share photos of light. So many possibilities. We could go literal, with photos of actual lights, or use sunlight or moonlight – shadows, even! Maybe something that makes you feel uplifted, or light.

My contributions vary among a couple of those categories. I hope you enjoy them, and head over to Ailsa’s page to find out how to play along!
