Bee Mine

Today, we drove all over creation looking for colorful leaves, and what we found pretty much bears out conventional wisdom – drought conditions this summer mean fewer leaves turning colors, and wild rain this week (several inches the past couple days) caused leaves to fall off. We saw a lot of green, a lot of brown, a little yellow, and a very little red. I took exactly three pictures of a single leaf (though the pics were of a tableau, with a leaf included), and Hubby’s numbers were about the same. We started in Quincy, Mass., at 7:30 a.m., drove through north central Mass., to New Hampshire and then Vermont, then back south to Western Mass. We stopped in Shelburne, Mass., at the Bridge of Flowers. This was my favorite image from the day, taken on the Bridge of Flowers.

Between Rainstorms

The sun peeked out briefly between rain storms today, so we popped out for a quick walk, and a few shots.
