Stopped by the bird refuge/marsh near our house on the way home from *paying job!* this evening. The snow geese weren’t interested in posing, or even holding still. They flew away the minute they saw me. And there were thousands of them.
We’re finally seeing signs of spring in the Boston area – most of the snow has melted, and the ospreys, cardinals and snowy egrets have returned to the marsh. I’ve heard rumors of blooming crocuses, but haven’t seen any sign of them yet. While we wait, enjoy this picture of a snowy egret coming in for a landing. As always, click the picture to make it larger.
