Hubby and I spent several hours in South Boston today, waiting for the St. Patrick’s Day parade. We were near the end of the route, and 90 minutes after the parade should have started, nothing had happened. We enjoyed the people watching, but we decided to get out of the cold and head home, since there was no indication of when the parade might reach us. So, I’ve got pictures of some of the faces to share, but none of the parade that wasn’t.
Larry Bird made a surprise appearance.
Mohawk and a jack-in-the-box leprechaun hat.
This cutie got my vote for best-dressed.
The dog does not appear to be amused by his person’s clothing choices.
I’ll keep my “green” to the theme of the weekend, since St. Patrick’s Day is kind of a big deal in Boston. I have co-workers who’ve asked for Monday off, because they’ll still be drunk Monday morning. I must be old. Or not Irish enough. Or something. So, in the spirit of green, and the spirit of the holiday, some photos from last year’s St. Patrick’s Day parade in Boston’s South End.
If you want to play along, head over to Ailsa’s page, and post your green photos!
