After yesterday’s post, which was in response to a “sunset” challenge, I found myself out tonight when the evening held a gorgeous sunset. So, more sunset pics, and my apologies to those who are offended by such badness.
It’s unfortunate that our view of the Boston skyline is almost directly south; the gorgeous sunsets we get, and it’s nearly impossible to include the skyline in the photo. One of these days, I’m going to get on a boat, and demand that it hold perfectly still under my tripod …
Ailsa’s travel theme for this week is sunsets. I’m digging into the archives for these, but they’re some favorites.

Houghs Neck, Mass., winter 2012.
Spring in Houghs Neck; a sunset reflected in the window of a house.
Houghs Neck again!
Houghs Neck again. Lots of water on this peninsula!

Sunset over the Rock Island Marsh in Houghs Neck, Mass., in April.
Some of you might see my avatar and wonder what it is. This is a larger, uncropped version. It was sunset this past summer at Lake Ontario State Park near Rochester, NY. Some days, I amaze myself, and this was one of those days. I hadn’t brought a tripod, so the camera was hand-held. Amazing that it’s not a blurry mess.
