This week’s Travel Theme gives me the perfect opportunity to use more photos I shot last week at Boston’s Outside the Box festival, featuring Australia’s Strange Fruit, a group of performers perched on 16-foot-tall flexible poles. Their performance is an interesting mix of dance, circus and theater, and if you get the chance to see them, I highly recommend it.
If you have photos that show “tilted,” head over to Where’s My Backpack for instructions.
ZOMG! It’s like this theme and your photos were created for each other. Too, too perfect.
More than you know. Most of my photos (vertical in particular) are tilted to one side or the other. Tough to blame the camera when it’s not consistent. 😉 But I agree; this wasn’t a theme I had to think too much about.
I spend a lot of my time straightening photos. Yay for photomanipulative software!
Marvelous!
Thank you! A really fun show to watch.
Wow – great shots – this looks like a fun festival.
Thank you! It really was fun – a lot of variety, and great photo-ops.
Wow, that’s pretty amazing! Definitely outside the box! Awesome captures!
My goal before-hand was to be right next to the performers, on the ground shooting them with a wide-angle lens, but a few thousand of my closest friends made that impossible. If it cools off, I might head back tomorrow to see if I can catch them again.
These are hilarious and perfect!!!
Thank you! So much fun.
Now I would have like to have witnessed that.
They put on a great show, and I believe they travel extensively, so you may have an opportunity yet!
Their positioning and your location give a great perspective.
Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
